“I stopped looking at rumors about me on Google; more or less since the one saying there was a crisis in my marriage, bullshit!”

Press Conference

The Irish newspaper The Sun and the UK magazine Hello! have both published a similar interview of Jamie. His answers come from the press conference of last week, so more magazines will probably have the same quotes. Here are Jamie’s new quotes from these interviews:

Dakota does this thing,” he says “when she laughs. She tries to hide it, but the truth is she has a snort laugh. I think we all do that sometimes, but when Dakota is really tickled, she does it aggressively. And then she can’t stop.

And contrary to what you might think, he and Dakota laughed a lot when they were shooting those X-rated scenes. “Not so much in the first movie, when we didn’t know each other very well yet and were just learning how to be around each other, ” he says, “But by now, we have got to the point where we can find the humour in these situations and relax and have fun with it. And we do have the same sense of humour, which helps a lot.

I did quite extensive research. I went to watch a dominant with his submissive just to experience what it was like first hand and to see what the energy in the room was like. Everybody has their own approach how they like to create that world. Some of it is quite serious and dangerous and some of it is frivolous, giggly and fun. What some people might think is sadistic, I saw as literally the opposite and the people were laughing a lot and having fun. I am very open to it and if that is what floats your boat, then more power to you.

I have signed contracts to make sure everybody doesn’t see everything, but even so I am obviouly exposed. I never feel sexy anyway. I just don’t. If I am in any way naked on a job, I alway feel awkward and exposed and tell myself that I probably should have stayed at school for longer and be in a job now where I wear more clothes.

The fun stuff for me was the romantic stuff we did in this movie on the honeymoon. We shot it at the end and it was a bit of a jolly as we had two weeks in France and I had something like eight lines. It was all very relaxed and I don’t think it was the sexiest time, but it was the most romantic and a very telling part of the story which will mean so much to the fans.

A lot of my friends who I grew up with in Belfast knew exactly what they wanted to do and they planned for it accordingly. They went to uni and stayed the course because it would give them that job they were looking for. And these days, they all do work in the jobs they had planned – and none of them are happy. So I think my approach was better.

Our oldest starts school in September, so I will be able to give you a far better answer then. But even at nursery school, I’m aware of the giggly aspect of it and I think I giggle too. I also find it funny.

I think my daughters are intelligent enough to know that dad is an actor and does things that are sometimes embarassing. There are tim;es when I still can’t believe I even made these films. I still stop and think to myself ‘But why did they make movies out of those books?’ But they did. And I am in them

Wild nights are few and far between these days with two kids under the ages of four, unlike when I was in my 20s.

About Robin Hood: “I always loved the story of taking from the rich and giving to the poor – Although I think our story turns it on its head a bit.

About golf: “I might be obsessed with golf, but that doesn’t mean I’m any good at it. I played terribly this morning.
