Latest pictures + information

Here’s a recap post of the latest pictures added in the gallery:

– A new portrait of Jamie at BAFTA Academy Circle Event (November 3)

– A new picture of Jamie and Sean Ellis, the director of Anthropoid, during the filming of the movie this summer

– A new fan picture with Jamie from November 10 in London

Fifty Shades:
– The next movies Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will shoot back to-back next year with James Foley directing both.

Once Upon a Time:
– Several guests will be back for the 100th episode of the show but unfortunately Jamie will not be in that episode:

Variety: Since it’s shaping up to be quite a reunion, have you been trying to get Jamie Dornan back?
Kitsis: Jamie Dornan is the number one person people ask about and unfortunately, we cannot make it work, his schedule is too busy. We will not be seeing him… You find a star and then other people grab them and then don’t share them. We love Jamie and we wish him nothing but the best, and though we’re sorry not to see his face in the 100th, I think he’ll be there in spirit as Emma wears his shoelaces on her wrist.

About Jamie

Last week end, Jennifer Morrison was in Paris for a Once Upon a Time convention organized by Xivents. She was asked about how it was to work with Jamie Dornan and here’s her answer:
Thanks to Valeria Caldarella via [H]ouse of Telefilm Forum

Jamie? Oh, he’s amazing. I see him like a very important part of Once Upon a Time. Despite the fact that he no longer works on the show, he starred in the first season, so he was with us from the start and all the things and the actors present from the beginning are perceived, in a way, as an important part of the show” confessed the actress symbol of the ABC television series, adding “He’s really wonderful. Kind, nice, one of those people that everyone wants to have around. All the actors on the set and the members of the crew looked for him and got along with him. Jamie was able to pul out some ‘social adventures’ so that everyone could get to know and connect with each other.” Jennifer Morrison concluded “Jamie is really a nice person. He was a real glue to the group.

Showbiz Junkies

During TCA 2015, Jamie gave several interviews to some journalists as well. Among them, the website Showbiz Junkies which published his interview on their website. A very interesting and full interview since Jamie talks about all his projects: The Fall, FSOG, The 9th Life of Louis Drax and for the first time he confirms that he got a some role in John Wells‘s movie (previously entitled Adam Jones). He also talks about the show Once Upon a Time! And of course we can spot Jamie’s humor in several answers! You can read the interview below:

Are you prepared for how crazy this year is going to get for you or has it already begun?
Jamie Dornan: “Yeah, I don’t really know yet to be honest. I’m really only here to talk about The Fall so I guess so far this year feels pretty normal.”

Do you think Spector as a grief counselor understands that he is causing a lot of the trauma that he councils people for or has he completely compartmentalized it?
Jamie Dornan: “No, I think you’re dead-on. He’s all too aware of the damage he’s doing and I think that makes him all the more sinister, that he has an understanding of grief and how people deal with it and how to get people out of it. I think that makes it all the more sickening.”

Given your character and what’s in store, do you have a sense of how The Fall could continue past this season?
Jamie Dornan: “Yes, it’s something that I’ve spoken to Allan [Cubitt, writer/producer/director] about. I think he’s got different ideas about how it will continue either with me or if it will continue without me. That’s all sort of open. But, yeah, it’s whether there’s an appetite to have Gillian’s character try to track down another.”

What have you are the differences between shooting in Britain and America on TV shows?
Jamie Dornan: “I just think it’s a privilege to be able to do both, to work – for the start. Like, how many people do this for a living and don’t work, so I’m just so privileged to work at all. I agree with Gillian [Anderson] that there’s a very different feel to doing something in the U.K. to something here. I don’t think it’s as drastic as [Gillian] has said; I haven’t found it to be that black and white. I’ve had great experiences doing both and if I can I would like to continue doing both. I feel very tied to Ireland and the U.K. and that side of the world, so of course I want to keep doing stuff that’s sort of bedded there. But it’s fun to do America stuff as well.”

You’ve said in the past you want to do a role where you can keep your shirt on. What would be the ideal role for you?
Jamie Dornan: “The thing is you get like… [Laughing] Spector spends a lot of time with his shirt off but then I’ve sort of discovered that that is a kind of a thing as actors, they spend a lot of time with their shirt off. What did I watch recently? James Bond. I watched Skyfall again recently and Daniel Craig had his top off consistently. So yeah, maybe it’s just a thing that actors end up doing.”

So maybe a James Bond film would be something you’d like to do in the future?
Jamie Dornan: [Laughing] “I mean, what kid doesn’t grow up sort of pretending they’re James Bond. But that’s something I certainly don’t have control over.”

Is there any chance you might want to revisit Sheriff Graham in Once Upon a Time?
Jamie Dornan: “You know, I love those guys. They’re like family to me. I was actually filming something on the same lot as them just before Christmas. But, yeah, I don’t know. [Laughing] He’s kind of dead.”

But they do go back in time.
Jamie Dornan: “Yeah, I know, there are ways and means but that’s something that I’m not privy to.”

If you’re on the lot it doesn’t seem like it would be that tough to hop over and do a cameo or something. They wanted you last season and the fans really want you back.
Jamie Dornan: [Laughing] “Yeah, they’re hardcore fans as well.”

In addition to Fifty Shades of Grey you have a few films you’ve been working on. What can you say about them?
Jamie Dornan: “Yeah, I just finished in the middle of December this film called The 9th Life of Louis Drax directed by Alex Aja. It’s me and Aaron Paul, who’s obviously got big ties to Netflix, and Sarah Gadon. I think it’s going to come out this year. It’s a totally different departure. It’s kind of a suspense, almost supernatural thriller I would say, that’s how I would categorize it. But I’m so wary to categorize it because it’s kind of a hard film to pitch. I think that’s it… Oh, I did a very small part in a John Wells film.”

How do you handle roles that call for “sex appeal”?
Jamie Dornan: “It’s not something I think about, it’s written in.”

My female friends tell me it’s the scruff.
Jamie Dornan: “The beard? [Laughing] You’ve got the same.”

Speaking of sex appeal, Fifty Shades comes out on Valentine’s Day. Do you normally celebrate Valentine’s Day and what will you be doing on this particular one?
Jamie Dornan: “I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing. I’m probably going to be working, promoting stuff. I don’t really have a huge opinion about Valentine’s Day.”

What was planned for Jamie (season 3)

The writers of the tv show Once Upon A Time already talked about it, they wished to have Jamie in the season 3 finale. As this episode takes place in the past, it was possible for Jamie to come back as The Huntsman of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla). However, between the filming of Fifty Shades of Grey, followed by the filming of The Fall, Jamie could not be available for the tv show. That’s why the season finale of OUAT happened without him. After several months without any answer or details, the writers of the show finally talked about the return of Jamie they wished for. They revealed to Entertainment Weekly the project they had for the Huntsman in the season finale. Unfortunately, we all regret that this scene could not be done.

“We wanted a Peggy Sue Got Married moment,” Kitsis tells EW, explaining that Emma would’ve seen Graham when she was locked up in the Evil Queen’s castle.

“He would’ve been one of the guards because it would’ve been during that period,” adds Horowitz. “She would’ve seen him, and it would’ve been heartbreaking for her because she would’ve wanted to reach out to him, but knowing that—because she’s on a mission—she couldn’t. It wasn’t a big plot thing, but it was an emotional moment that we wanted to do.”

About Jamie

Today, several people talked about Jamie to different websites. Here is a post that will recap them all. First, Jamie’s father, Jim, talks about his feminist son and his role in Fifty Shades of Grey / Then, the film’s screenwriter Kelly Marcel talks about Jame’s performance / And finally, Colin O’Donoghue, actor from Once Upon a Time, also talked about Jamie in an interview.

Jim Dornan, via Dailymail:
‘Jamie might be playing Christian Grey, but he has inherited a total respect and commitment to women and women’s rights,’
‘We are all that way in the family. Jamie and my two daughters are very pro-women — I have influenced them with that.’
‘As with the role Jamie’s playing, a lot of people are into all sorts of things, and I don’t think we should knock anything that people consent to.’

Kelly Marcel, FSOG screenwriter, via EOnline:
When asking how difficult it is to write a sex scene, Aslan recited a line from the book, “Mmmm…he’s soft and hard at once, like steel encased in velvet, surprisingly tasty, salty and smooth. He’s my own Christian Grey-flavored popsicle.”
Marcel laughed and said, “She says that, ‘You are my popsicle.’ That line went in, its genius. They apparently did that scene great. Apparently Jamie is great at being soft and hard at the same time. Which is hard to do for an actor! He’s going to get an Oscar!”
But how does someone translate a “Christian Grey popsicle” on-screen? Marcel explained that scenes had to be very specific and descriptive in the script, adding that she couldn’t just write, “They made love” and move on, making things awkward sometimes.
“I had to actually describe everything! It was really embarrassing when you’re doing studio notes around the table with 12 people,” she said.

> Thus we can confirm the presence of a particular bathroom scene in the movie! Unless it will be cut within the finale editing of the movie…

Colin O’Donoghue, OUAT actor, via Zap2it:
“I think Hook could take anyone, to be honest, but I’m bound to say that.” Captain Hook actor Colin O’Donoghue brags to Zap2it in reference to any possible return of Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman. “Jamie is fantastic and a lovely guy. It’d be interesting to see how that would work, if there are any residuals from [Emma and Graham].”
