Manchester United

On November 19th 2016, Jamie attended a football match of Manchester United. On that day, he was interviewed on his football and ManU passion. You can read and watch the interview below and check a picture in the gallery.

I’d say that’s my favourite all-time United memory actually,” said Jamie, in an exclusive interview with MUTV and ManUtd.com.

It was also my first game and that sets the bar, it was an incredible first match to be at. You’re charmed and taken by your first experience and I still hold that moment and that day very close to my heart.

Jamie was a United season-ticket holder when growing up in Belfast and he credits becoming a supporter to his dad and to George Best’s influence in his native Northern Ireland. The actor was at Old Trafford for the Reds’ league clash with Arsenal in November and although his busy career means he is not able to get to the stadium as much as he’d like, he always looks forward to a visit.

I just love the people in Manchester,” he told us. “I feel like they have a similar attitude to people from Belfast and I’ve just had so many great nights at Old Trafford and memorable occasions. I’ve experienced some not so good nights too but I only really remember the good ones.

I still get that special feeling when you walk out and see the pitch when you come here, the place just does something to you, as do the memories that are created here. It’s a very special place.

Charity auction

Each year, the charity Doodle 4 NF holds a charity auction with different doodles drawn by celebrities. These doodles have a very important aim: the funds they raise will benefit NF, Inc. Network, an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. For more information you can check these websites: Doodle4NF / NFnetwork

This year, Jamie Dornan is participating for the third time to this event and he drew a new doodle. The charity auction will start on May 5th on Ebay and I will give you the link as soon as it’s available. I’m really supporting this cause because funds raised from the Doodle Day auction will go to support education, advocacy, coalitions, and research for treatments and a cure. We can be very proud of Jamie for taking part to this project one more time. If you’re interesting in the auction, you can check Jamie’s doodle in our gallery! Gillian Anderson even signed the back of Jamie’s drawing and wrote: “Clearly Stella & Spector sailing away together. (to hell)

EDIT: Here’s the link to bid on Ebay. You have till May 15: LINK

My interview to Belfast Live

The Northern Irish newspaper “Belfast Live” recently asked to interview me about my website and being a big fan of Jamie Dornan for several years now. I gladly agreed and the article was released last week. So I decided to share it with you here directly on the site. (original link)

Meet the Jamie Dornan superfan behind site dedicated to Co Down star
Anthony has managed to strike up a friendship with the actor after setting up a website five years ago.

As the star of The Fall and Fifty Shades of Grey, Co Down actor and heart-throb Jamie Dornan has a huge fan-base worldwide.
But one superfan has managed to strike up a friendship with the actor after setting up a website five years ago, dedicated to Dornan and his modelling and acting work.
Frenchman Anthony, who has travelled to Belfast several times to meet his idol, launched his website, Jamie Dornan Online, with a friend, before Dornan found massive fame as an actor.
At the start, Anthony had a small following of fans on Twitter, but as Dornan’s popularity grew, that number increased to more than 90,000.
And among his many followers is Dornan himself.
He told Belfast Live: “When I found out Jamie was following me on Twitter, it was amazing. I was able to send him direct messages when I needed answers to questions or when I wanted to ask his approval before publishing something. I am always very respectful to his private life.

Anthony first met his hero in February 2015 at the London Premiere of Fifty Shades of Grey. Then he travelled to Belfast late last year and again this year, while Dornan was in the city filming season three of The Fall.
And he was thrilled when Dornan posed for a photograph with him, signing it ‘For Anthony, my friend’.

Anthony added: “It was amazing to go to Belfast. I was with three friends and we had such a good time.
“I met him at Orangefield school during the first weeks of filming, when there were not a lot of fans there. Every day he went to see fans during his lunch break and he did the same with us, which was very kind of him.
“When he wrote ‘for Anthony, my friend’ on my picture, I was so surprised and glad that he would consider me like that.
“We stayed four days in Belfast, but only went on set one day. On the other days we visited the city and of course famous places from The Fall like Paul Spector’s house and Botanic Gardens.

However there is also a downside to being a Jamie Dornan super-fan, as Anthony has found out. The success of his website has led to some nasty trolling and he’s reluctant to even reveal his surname.
He said: “Twitter has become a tough place since Fifty Shades of Grey. I receive some hate and jealousy unfortunately. I understand that Jamie avoids social media now.
“So it’s not easy every day now to run Jamie Dornan Online but of course I do it to support him and it’s a great motivation when I see how kind he is with me all the time.
“It’s not my place to say I am his biggest fan but let’s say that I try to be.

And the 23-year-old, who now works in England as a French teaching assistant, admitted he can’t wait for the return of The Fall later this year.
He added: “My favourite role is as Paul Spector in The Fall. I’ve followed it from series one and I think it’s a brilliant show. Jamie’s performance in it is amazing.
